Media reports said that a deal about prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas is likely to come about soon, yet no confirmation has been made public by the parties involved as Israeli attacks on Palestinians were reported in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. These stories and more in this week’s update.

I am from Vancouver, Canada and I was just listening to your news reports. In South Africa when the Apartheid government was in force I never heard of peoples homes being destroyed. So in some ways this Israeli Apartheid is worse than the South African Apartheid government when it was in power.
About a week ago the United Church of Canada had a conference not far from Vancouver. They had several resolutions to pass with regard to Palestine. The resolutions ended up being watered down and one paragraph stated that the church recognized Israel as a Jewish state. The Zionist organizations here in Canada persuaded the church to change their minds on the resolutions. Although the church doesn’t admit that. In general there is lots of support for the BDS policy here in Canada and for the overall Palestinian struggle against Israel[s occupation].
