    “The Gaza Freedom March is not over, it’s only begun.” So says Professor Sarah Roche-Mahdi, Boston CodePink organizer, just back from the event in which most of the 1300+ marchers from numerous countries were harassed by Egyptian authorities and blocked from entry to Gaza. Salma Abu Ayyash interviews Roche-Mahdi and two other marchers, live in our studio, on their feelings and experiences in Egypt. The other two marchers are Stephanie Andrews (a local organic farmer), and Emily King (a PhD student at Tufts University).

    Ridgely Fuller is a social worker and Tufts’ School of Law and Diplomacy graduate. She speaks out against US weapons to Israel such as DIME, and talks about her educational tour on the Palestinian health crisis, Gaza, efforts to broaden Congressional awareness, and foster better climate for peace talks.

    She is a member of CODEPINK that has been organizing visits to Gaza for some of the same reasons, to help Americans view Palestinians as human beings rather than ‘militants’ as often defined by the corporate press.

    Ridgely Fuller explains some of her reasons for visiting Gaza in June and talks about the continued impact of Israel’s air attacks and ground invasion during the winter of 2009.

Now, activists are targeting AHAVA, an Israeli cosmetics company founded by and based in an Israeli settlement in the Occupied West Bank. The AHAVA company, as many others in Israel that are based in the Palestinian Territories or profit from their occupation are owned by the powerful Israel family – the Livnat family. The Real News investigates how the family’s dynasty is invested in the economy of the occupation.
